Description

I'm kind of shocked. I actually finished it. It's pretty sturdy this time around so it should hold up. It will only break if I do something stupid like toss it against the ground or drop it at a funny angle.

Hrm, I should probably carry around a little super glue with me just in case...

Edit: It's been holding up pretty well. And just to answer a few questions that keep cropping up:

1. What is it made out of? - I made the whole thing from scratch. That entire fan is comprised of wood, fabric, and paint.

2. Where did you get the pattern: I hand drew a stencil and carved it out with an exacto knife. The white details are stenciled on and the pink was hand painted.

3. Can you show me how to make it?

Eventually, I do plan on a tutorial, but I've been so busy I haven't been able to devote much time to it. If you have very specific questions about trouble shooting, I don't mind answering them, but if you ask me how to make the entire thing from the beginning, I will likely ignore it. Sorry guys. I've had a lot on my plate recently. :/

I'm trying to make my own fan and this really helps! Especially the design.

Question though, to make the fan open and close without falling apart everywhere you used fabric at the top of the fan to hold it into place... Did you have to do the same with the back?
